What is DPDC Balance Checker?
A free Android app that shows the balance on a DPDC prepaid electricity meter in Dhaka, Bangladesh. You enter your customer number once; it then refreshes the balance every morning, keeps home screen widgets current, and notifies you when the balance falls below a threshold you set. No login and no captcha, in Bangla or English.
Is this the official DPDC app?
No. It's an independent app that reads your balance from DPDC's own service. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Dhaka Power Distribution Company PLC.
Where do I find my customer number?
It's printed on your prepaid meter card and on every recharge receipt. The app also has a short guide in case you've lost both.
Can I recharge from the app?
No — the app is read-only. It shows your balance, usage and recharge history. Recharging still happens through your usual vendor.
What data does it collect?
None on our side by default. Your customer number and balance history stay on your device. Optional cloud sync only runs if you turn it on. See the privacy policy.
